Well, now we have an even better idea of what's next for NeNe Leakes. After announcing she would not be returning to Real Housewives of Atlanta for season 8, NeNe has revealed that she's teaming up with the legendary Betty White for a new variety series.
"When one door closes, another door opens!!!! Your girl is returning to primetime network TV on the new ABC variety series To Tell the Truth with Betty White, Anthony Anderson, and Jalen Rose," she confirmed on her blog on Wednesday (July 1). "I start filming tomorrow. Bloop!" Question: What do Betty White and Jalen Rose talk about?
Additional information about the show has not been announced. The news comes just days after NeNe teased that she was, indeed, working on a new top-secret project. ?I?m actually going to be doing a new primetime television show with a big legend,? she told People earlier this week of her post-RHOA plans. "All of my fans will get to see me be really happy, witty and funny and tell all of those one liners that I have always said on Housewives.?
Just because she's headed to primetime with Betty, doesn't mean she's completely closed the door on her RHOA days. ?I?m not saying I?m gone forever,? NeNe said on June 29. ?I?ll probably pop up and play with those girls every now and then.?
More big news for ATL fans: Season 8 of RHOA has been officially confirmed and is slated to premiere this fall. Additionally, on July 12, the series will be celebrated with The Real Housewives of Atlanta: 100th Episode Watch What Happens Live Special.
