Faggot i aint Savin all my love
:gorlonfire:
This song is everything to me. The lyrics and composition really are a mood. She's telling her story in a distorted way. It sets the mood for the album.
my fav ☺️☺️

This was a grower for me, it took time but now I appreciate the masterpiece that it is
She should've kept the demo version and enhanced it it's way better
:uhh: :uhh:
The people can't get into this masterpiece.
The fucking composition
The lyrics
The fucking tribute
The harmonies
This kinda is a top tier brandy song

You have the demo?
I thought I would hate it when Camper first previewed it, but it's definitely one of my favorites. Top 3.

!!!
The soft singing kind of takes away its impact for me. That demo where her delivery was more gruff and forceful sounded better to my ear, and fit more with the approach she took to most of the songs on the rest of the album. However if we never heard the demo that wouldn't matter so I chalk it up to that. Still a good song, just harder to really get in after hearing what it was/could have been.
Ughhh playing B7 for the first time and hearing the piano intro on Saving...EPIC!!
I keep replaying the video.
kekejjkdjdjdjjzjdjdjdiidid'
Whoever mixed Afrodisiac should have mixed B7.
The last « I ain't saving all my love » before the « for youuuuuuuuuuuu » long note is so RICH.
She sounds like a damn choir.
She covered the whole low/medium/high register with this line.
And sadly, we do not hear all these layers on the final version.

It's so emotional to me.
I was playing it on the plane and looking out the window... I felt all her pain.
Sorry for my tardy...
Aww Ghan.

SAML is iconic as fuck.
What a way to reintroduce yourself and open an album
:stressed: :stressed: :stressed:
Fun fact. SAML has the most views of any of the songs from the album on YouTube. Goes to show you that just because you don't like something doesn't mean others won't. Your personal opinion ain't shit reallly in the end ooooops
I like it.
I do like the original that Camper played. It was easier to understand what she was saying.
if they still do a deluxe, i hope they put that version on it.

Why would they put a demo of a song that was already on the standard version on the deluxe?

I'm obsessed. This is one of the most musical songs I've ever heard

it's terrible
The song... It's almost genius musically honestly. I say almost because of the weight we put on that world but it is... yeah. The production, the vocal arrangements, the tempo and structure, the word play and references in the lyrics...
This album doesn't just feel like a great Brandy album, it feels like a contribution to music.

My only issue with the song. I couldn't get in at first but once I understood what she was saying and it stopped sounding so noisy..

Its one of the best song on the album
my first listen I was hooked
loved it
I feel it needed a better crescendo but still great and love the production
uuuuhhhhiiiIIIIIIIIMMMMMM mehDUHkayTED
:omf:
This fucking SONG! Best possible way to open this album also. You better be sorry for your damn tardy, QUEEN! I could listen to this song over and over and never get tired of it
While we're praising SAML and B7.... this part of Unconditional Gods >>>
"Used to be a mess
And a hot head
Was self-sabotaging, problem
Fear is my religion, never down, yeah
Wonder why you sent it to me
If you were just gonna ruin it
Jump, I'm falling upward, upward, upward"
This was a favorite since from the first play. I love everything about this song!
love SAML
the final and demo both
definitely one of the best on the album
This iconic and innovative opener
:stressed:
it sounds like she smoked a whole pack of Newport's before she recorded it. But it works good as a opener and I love it for that.
TBH This is the best song on the album
This record, and a couple of the others still gives me literal chills!
