He said his demons won. That leaves me to conclude he was dealing with a lot and didn't kill himself just to make a point. I think once he decided to take his life, he saw that as a way of making a statement. Doesn't make what he did any better, but a lot of people don't know the struggles of persons at the front line of causes. At the end of last year one of my friends, Zenita, a human rights activist and feminist, committed suicide. No one could understand it because just a few months before she was awarded the US Embassy's Woman Of Courage Award for her work on the front lines of these struggles. I say all that to say, people battle all sorts of issues SILENTLY. And the ones that fight for everyone else usually don't have anyone fighting for them. I can't judge him for his choice. Hopefully he finds the peace he so badly needed.
