:plzstop: Put some respect on her name!!!! Fucking yes!!!! I can't stop playing this. I love the message in the song, her vocals and the arrangement!!!
That is all!!
Not my favorite, but it's been cool seeing everyone else loving this one.
It was kind of funny watching Brandy pay it dust on her listening party, though. ddddd
One of the best on the album
This Mike City 2020 Knock!!!
:stressed::gorlonfire:
She paid it fucking dust but I don't think she knows what she has!!! Honestly it's the best track on the album!! Very meaningful and relatable
:flamebroiled:
I love this track. The arrangement is stunning and she emotes her fave off.

Period. The knock DRAGS my ass every time. :plzstop: :kii:
This is my shit and will be the one record the general public will use the most.
Say Something gives me early 2000s summer vibes. I wouldn't mind if it was the last single...if she gives us Rather Be and No Tomorrow first
tbfh it's the best song.
My favorite song in the album

SS just has that flow, it's naturally catchy and it's easy listening. BL is therapeutic I get, but does not have the aforementioned.
My MF SHIT!!!!
SANG
The way she ATTACKS the verses >
Reminds me of "I thought" without all the crazy incredible harmonies. This was all about her lead vocals

A highlight! I've been wearing it out.
I want Jazzy on a remix or something :stressed:

Couldn't disagree more. It was the first song she opened her eyes and took on a confident demeanour for. She was proud of this one and not worried about our reaction like the others.
Say Something! Something to believe again!

Yall better get y'all asses in on this GEM!!!!! I'm telling you this is straight FIRE!!! Brandy is confident, her vocals are crisp and clear and she is riding the fuck out this beat. The verse punches hard and the the course comes in delicately as she's pleading for a reaction from her lover!!! My GODDDDD!!!!
I can't get enough of this song!!!!
Love this one, one of my faves. It gives me "List" a bit.
I love how she switches from attack mode to the sweet vocals on say something. Reminds me of tracks like Those were the days by Lili.
The way she rides this shit. Ack!!!

I agree with this.
"Say Something" should be the 3rd single. I like "Rather Be" and "No Tomorrow" like every one else BUT "Say Something" has the EDGE factor like "Borderline" that will captivate the general public. She fucking SNAPPED :uhh: and its more fitting as a follow up single to "Borderline". Its damn near perfect actually. Like team, lets be smart with these single choices this era, please!

Borderline really is that girl, it gives you classic Brandy with a twist. If u put in them headphones or watch reaction videos u can hear it better. Its so eerie, the stacks and the way she harmonizes on every sentence. She goes in and then out..then that beat break for a quick second...the lyrics...the runs

I would LOVE to see Brandy do a throw back to this era in a video like how Missy did recently.
:plzstop:
Thinking about it more tho, I would like this treatment for the "Saving All My Love" video.. but with a throw back and a current look like how Lauryn Hill did... The throw back references the "Saving all my love" vibe like the song references but then brandy current is the one singing the "I'm NOT Saving all my love" part.
does that make sense?
:dead:
Like how she used to be all about needing love and now she's just about self love
Her approach to the second verse is Nippy through and THROUGH
"Issa wrap BOI"
:plzstop:
It hit a little diff when I played it tonight. Not in my Top 5 but I love it now.

This Whitney ass song ,, i love it so much ,,, Brandt this needs to be the next mess
Top 5 on B7. Say something is so special! Gives me the energy of I thought part 2. I miss her attacking verses like that
I'm on the fence cause I'm under attack!!!!! Tell him Brandy!!!!
The way she doesn't adlib but that one time in the beginning of the song and it's still impacts!
I am so used to her and all of her signature adlibs throughout a song... This is really different for Brandy. What kind of Genius!?
:flamebroiled:
Love the lyrics and message.
But it's the most traditional sounding song on the album.
Guess that will resonate with the people who can't get into the abstract and eerie songs. Def an EASY listen.

Say Something is my fave song on the album... it gives me Sam Smith vibes.
She better make this a fucking single. This song is special.
My favourite song on the mess, I think
:stressed:
Brandy should've started the album with this song. :gorlonfire: Not sure why she chose to start with "Saving", but Say Something would've given B7 a stronger start. These things really affect peoples perception of an album. This song is a classic in the making.

What?!
SAML is a perfect intro. Explaining why it took her so long to be back and setting the entire mood of the album.
NT is perfect where it is. It's like a big light in a dark tunnel. Like a little break after all those sad songs.

The general public doesn't care about what she's explaining. They want a song to be hooked on and sing along to. SAML doesn't achieve that in my opinion. I like the song, but it's not a good opener for an album.
