Gun laws is literally just a sign of old white masculinity and supremacy
In colonial times it was a way for whites to keep anyone not like them in check, take over lands, colonise new lands, wipe out natives, keep slaves in check.
Slaves and white women weren't allowed to even touch one and natives were barred from even buying one
The right to bear arms was literally about giving white men power to have their way over and excersie their rights over slaves
