The most famous musicians and actors we have are light skin.

There's not too many dark skin A list to choose from that the entire world knows.

But even with that...I'm sure they wanted American viewers to know who the "black celebrity" was as well.

I don't know too many outside of black people who are familiar with the Tika Sumpters, Megan goods, Ect.
