During black history month, we celebrate black Americans who have achieved great things in this country.  It's an American celebration, at least to my understanding.

Either way, pretty sure this is "fake news".

The US is definitely not the only country that celebrates black history month. Also, when someone says 'African American History Month', it refers to contributions only African Americans have made. There are a lot of black pioneers that are celebrated that aren't from America.
