For me

I tried
I feel like it's so late at night and raining
and she's contemplating driving over and keying up his MESS
Nigga!  :uhh:

I swear I've always pictured a video for it to be just like that. Right after the "Crying never kept you at home anyway" part, I see her storming to his place and crying in the rain
:plzstop:
bittttt

I see it down
It's wild that every time I hear it
I see a visual for it as if she shot it
Wow
Me too! Tim created a great atmospheric record. You can't help but to visualize it when you listen
The guitar dead ass HAUNTS ME

GLOCK

But wait Shattered is a dark girl too

There's something pretty sinister about "Anybody", for me

Definitely haunting toward the latter half of that song with the backwards violin and weird vocal choice to almost mimic or counter what was happening with the violin. It was an incredible moment Ndndnfn and of course these LOWS she's hitting

4:00 to the end. This haunted house vocal  :uhh:

Wow!!! I totally agree with you!! It took me getting a little older and revisiting this song to really appreciate it but it definitely made me feel depressed when I GOT it.

The lyrics and the vocal delivery....

"Cuz to me love is worthless with no you and meeee"

And the "it should be clear how, I ride for you"

Something about her phrasing and tone with that crazy beat. And the end...we don't want, no one to knowwwww

So haunting. One of my fave Brandy songs

escape def.  I always felt like she was talking about suicide

https://youtu.be/XqbIAlfuAyc

No one likes escape ?

I'm losing all my patience
It's so hard to resist it
You don't know what I'm going through
No more hesitation
Some things are so enticing
I know what I have to do

Escape from my mind
Escape from my life
Escape anywhere
Escape far away
From here

I just seemed so dark like she was right there with razor blade to her arm.  Am I reaching or does anyone else see it ?

Also that guitar riff is everything

I had to revisit this thread after this song came on to see if anyone mentioned it. It's one of my favorite Brandy songs EVER.

Question, why do some of the fans call Brandy "Ghan"? I've seen it for years but never knew where it came from.

Annie

I think Afro called her Ghan first
I don't know was it a Gandhi reference?
i know we were changing words and names to God, Saints and historic people a lot to express a song or a person's greatness

Sort of like Yeezus..

Annie

Now I don't know if the names Glockica or Goatica were a compliment :wheresmylawyer:

What does it mean?
i call her GHandy because she is so powerful and revered, but so humble at the same time. much like Gandhi  :ohwow: :ohwow:
Oh, I see.  I've seen y'all using that nickname so many times, but I really had no idea what it meant.
