This is really well made abd definitely worth a watch. The acting is great and her life story is very dramatic.

They are not shying away from the controversial parts of her life like her philandering father and the fact that she had her first two kids at 12 and 14 years old. Fist fighting with her first husband. All the smoking she did back in the day. Her life was messy.

Cynthia was probably not the best choice for Aretha but she is a great actress and singer.
