there's no growth between this and ATS.
🤔 But none of these songs sound like anything on ATS and the tmom had some different topics. How is that not growth?
It was definitely ATS pt.2
With a slight more hood edge to it
Not 1 song sound like a song on ATS and if you believe so that's your hearing not the album
But I am interested to know which one of the songs you believe fit the flow of ATS
For one we can start with Dozen—which follows Missy's usual formula and what she did with So Gone & Knock Knock: old sample, missy screams, "new Monica!" & a rap after the first two verses
Gotta Move On although sonically is a bit different for Mo, the Tweet backgrounds were very reminiscent of the ATS era also
Why Her was exactly what JD did to Mon with You Should've Known: He flipped We Belong Together into a record for Mo, and USKB was U Got It Bad flipped into a Mo record
My Everything sounds like it literally could have been on ATS—it has the same kind of feel
To Me the album was a more Street continuation to ATS
And it was too short for me. But I do like the album, don't get me wrong.
But Beat Drop>>>
