i think that social media presence/interaction has become so much of the norm that fans (especially much younger ones who really didn't grow up in or experience the era of celebs having more distance from their fans) are genuinely disappointed and even understandably confused when their fav doesn't really participate in that
it's really all they know so i can't blame them too much.
and it makes sense considering that people say normani kinda gives that old school "appear when i need yall to support and go back into hiding" tea. constant interaction has become part of the game these days - just as much as keeping up your appearance/image. it's now an expectation

BUT I do understand their frustration. After Motivation did what it did for like a month, she went into a cave for like 2 years. Then came back out with Wild Side, had her fans campaign for her to do that 1 little performance of the song on the VMA stage and its now practically the end of the year. If I was a lil 14 yr sissy with no life, I'd prob be upset with her too.

Exactly. It's no different than any other business with poor customer service. Yes you can operate and not interact but your success will more than likely be minimal. Even old school artists had their ways of connecting with fans years ago.
