I had a discussion with my grandmother last week and she told me a lot about my heritage.
the generations right before her.
Her partially white ancestry on her father's side (her father's mom is in my avatar
), and the native american ancestry on her mother's side. ( i know. "hahaha
native american!!!" . i beat u to it.
)
When she started describing her mom's side, I was a bit alarmed though.
She said that they had darker skin, BUT it was so pretty.
That word "BUT" hit me hard. Like, if it weren't "pretty" dark skin, then what would it make it then?
