I always prefered dark, however in the last 2 years Ive been into lighter.

I will say generally I find dark skin more appealing. Light can be very plain. If they are light there needs to be something striking. To many people think they are sexy just cause they're light. You need more.

lite skin boys alway look like tha white man slut

sorr'!
but tht how i feel 'bout it

Herb.

All shades of black are beautiful.

There's nothing I'd "prefer" as far as complexion is concerned.
Clear skin, nice hair, nice style, etc. is most important to me.

Herb.

And the thing so interesting about our people is that we're so varied.
Different tones, complexions, grades of hair....

I had a discussion with my grandmother last week and she told me a lot about my heritage.
the generations right before her.
Her partially white ancestry on her father's side (her father's mom is in my avatar  ), and the native american ancestry on her mother's side. ( i know. "hahaha native american!!!" . i beat u to it. :dead: )
When she started describing her mom's side, I was a bit alarmed though.

She said that they had darker skin, BUT it was so pretty.
That word "BUT" hit me hard. Like, if it weren't "pretty" dark skin, then what would it make it then? :usureuok:

I actually got very emotional after the conversation because my grandmother's grandmother was a product of rape.
It's one of those moments where you're glad you asked, but part of you wishes you hadn't.
