I'm talking about romantic love.

Of course you can love anyone--your parents, siblings, friends--but romantic love is an entirely different experience, one that is very real between same sex couples. But for some reason people want to focus on sexual attraction and liken homosexuality to some type of deviant behavior.

Before I went through puberty, I always had feelings of attachment towards people of the same sex, never the opposite. So to say you can "love" anyone doesn't apply to what I'm talking about.

I was never sexually attracted to any of the men I liked or fell in love with, not at first.
I was aware only of how strongly I felt for them. Only later did I find myself sexually attracted to them, and by that point it was extremely strong.
