I think it'd be more reasonable to really question the source of a list if it's one of those very general "Best of All Time" messes. If someone posts a "Best Rap Lyricists of All Time" list without a link I'd want to know where they got it from.
It could be Sarah somewhere in Idaho typing up random names as she goes along for all I know. And that's much different from someone like Common or Nas sitting down to write the same list. I'd want to know the credibility of the source before I even bother giving the list any credence. Where did this
opinion come from?
In this case, since we're talking nothing but numbers/certifications, the source is RIAA. Kang ain't making the news, he's just reporting it
