Big Bertha, Genesis and Desi all want to be understood and I want to do a better job of doing just that. I may not care for their style, but I can still communicate better

I think they all have big hearts that are just maybe a little chilly right now cuz they feel they always need to be on the defensive.

Glock we've had our tit-for-tat mess here and there recently but I think it only went but so far because a respect that we still maintain. Love you. Funny, and a leader, and I know that being a Mod is something you have wanted for a while. And you deserve it. Don't know how much it will matter seeing that I am just one of the gwerls now, but I will be writing a letter of recommendation to the powers that be. LOL.

Love you, rooting for you.

Tbh no. I kinda agree with your post. You don't have to say nice things if you don't like the person. It kinda feels forced and isn't coming from a real place. At most at least be cordial towards one another.

there are some gorls here i genuinely do like and even still I didn't enter their appreciation threads
not because I didnt want to say anything nice, but I just didn't wanna see the fakeness from others
cause I wouldve ended up saying something or calling someone out

the gorls I like know how i feel, so I don't need to "appreciate" them when someone tells me to

This is all assuming that there is a genuine dislike for the person. As opposed to a clashing of personalities or opinion. Many people on here are on/off through disagreement. I cannot say there are many people on here who genuinely hate each other.

I can kii with Yumz and Kur one minute, and be ready to straggle them the next. Same with Mel, same with Vonc. Same with Bent.

There's nothing wrong with taking time to recognize the good things about them, instead of spending all the time pointing out where they were wrong, or where they lack. I think this is a great thread.

So on your end there's no genuinely dislike for these people you name dropped. Y'all just clash here and there.  Got u.

One thing about Mel is that he's no one's follower. He tells it how he sees it, he's the epitome of a New Yorker. :dead: It took me a while to figure out why I always had it out with him, Tyrelle and Carey, but it's definitely that New York attitude that clashes. It's embedded in us. We don't hold back. And at the end of the day, I can always respect anyone who brings it straight, no chaser.

thank you hun. I do genuinely appreciate that
it's kinda just who we are...lols

In all honesty I just thought Glock doing just it to be mod because he was the only one that had to gain and benefit from it.  What was everybody else gettin' from it ? Half assed appreciation comments with shade.  :dead:

Exactly.

I just told Vonc yesterday that I genuinely have no real "hate" for him. (I honestly pick more on people that I like. But I think he was taking it the wrong way which is understandable so I told him I'd stop, and I have.) Thanked Bentley for his beautiful words he gave me yesterday regarding repping my Native identity.

This isn't the first time I gave Yumz and Kur a shout out for being who they are. Far from it. If you read my post you'd see that this I said this was simply another opportunity to do so.

It's not saying "hey! we're besties, drinks tonight?" It's saying, hey, we disagree and stuff, but let me take this time to remind you that there's some still some respect there for you. And hey, we may disagree tomorrow. And that is OK.

And I can respect that.

Kur and Yums are very smart. And have taught me so much by beating the "new black" out of me through encouragement to get enlightened and educated. I always thank them for when I get the opportunity and this thread is no different. They taught me that it's sometimes to let your ego down, go ahead and take that "L", if its crucial for your self betterment.

Bent is funny and although he plays around a lot, he has a good heart that I can clearly see. And isn't that all that matters?

No when you entered this thread, you came in with the notion that everyone that may have CLASHED with each other hated each other and that everyone was being fake

I clashed with glock and I love him
Same with Bentley

And mayday.... Well no comment Lolz

Point is everyone isn't running around pretending to be in cahoots with each other. Especially on THIS place.

I just find your entire stance hilarious since you're constantly speaking of moving forward and being a positive person.

But maybe you think no one likes you, so I can understand that.

Welp. There goes that

did you expect anything else? lol

Tbh no. I kinda agree with your post. You don't have to say nice things if you don't like the person. It kinda feels forced and isn't coming from a real place. At most at least be cordial towards one another.

Got u.

And that is OK.
ugh. You're explaining it perfectly

I was trying to locate where someone could possibly find the fake in here, and I honestly don't see it

I could tell that you didn't dislike me. We had our little disagreement and it went downhill from there. And I think that was more on my part, a misinterpretation of something you said, being on the defensive led me to lash at you a bit. I've always been very sensitive and serious about my quest to know who I am. And in that spirit, you were attacked with no merit.

And being the stubborn person that I can be, I didn't admit that I may have been wrong in my interpretation of your question. Even way down the line when it clicked that "Hey, Vonc may have been asking a genuine question and not throwing shade." But I will say now that I was wrong and I am sorry. You never had an issue with me and we were always usually here >><< on a lot of things until I took something the wrong way.

Tbh no. I kinda agree with your post. You don't have to say nice things if you don't like the person. It kinda feels forced and isn't coming from a real place. At most at least be cordial towards one another.

I meant everything I typed.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I dont hate anyone on here, it aint that damn deep

You know what, I genuinely do appreciate this afro because I honestly never had an issue with u until that day. Im someone who's pretty vocal when im at odds with someone so i thought the whole thing was left field. up until that point we had always been very cool and I really wasnt trying to be sideways.......that day, every other day after that yea maybe lolz. I  really did feel the sincerity here, thank u.

No seriously though, I think everyone I have been at odds with is pretty intelligent, passionate and outspoken (Herb,Vonc, Drais; even 'Man & Yumz). I'm not going to go back and forth with a fool unless Im bored lolz.

I think it really just depends on how invested either party is about the particular topic and the intent behind the messages that are being conveyed during the debate. I can drag and get dragged and still have respect and admiration for someone if the sincerity and respect is there afterward.

I don't get this from everyone here or everyone I mentioned so I can't really say specific positive statements the way I'd like to.

Just don't want you to focus on that. Because it's still negative even though I feel you clearly aren't a negative person in total

but its not being phony when these ppl are being honest from jump in the fact that they are complimenting ppl they usually argue with
It's only phony if these ppl literally say "let's be friends now!"

!!!!

But who can blame some of these members for having this shield up so strongly? they've been shaded and ridiculed one too many time, but this very same group and in droves. It could maybe take a long while to chip away at that

Honestly, it's a fuckin message board, not the high school cafeteria  :dead:

I don't see the point in walking around holding some e-grudge because a stranger behind a computer or phone said something you didn't like or mocked your favorite artist.

And I definitely don't see the point in spending damn near a DECADE posting on a board that you feel is oh so beneath you but kumbaya and junk.

Why are we so quick to dismiss the impact of social/internet networks in this day in age. Especially considering an environment like this where members have been intimately e-involved since they were teens??

Even after all the bullshit that went down between me and afro over the past year, I wouldn't pay him dust if I saw him walking down the street.

The bulk of the mess that goes down on here isn't that deep.

it may not seem like some huge thing, but any time someone spends hours anywhere and makes some sort of connection, witnesses a real connection or tries to, you have to be sensitive to it IMO. Period. I've had to understand that everyone isn't good at, or willing to learn how to communicate or listen/read to find understanding just yet. You never know what someones life is like outside of this forum. I know quite a few people that literally come here to escape in some way, so i have to be more careful with what i participate in. We're feeding a lot of minds here that dont even post

not to say i can't have a sense of humor cuz that aint goin nowhere LOL!

I mean it's okay to have impactful conversations here with people who have shared the same place for years. Im just not seeing how that is so far-fetched. I want to be "real life" friends with people here or have became friends with ppl from here so I dont see how that's any different. Thats what I meant by that, not saying its a standard.

Why are we so quick to dismiss the impact of social/internet networks in this day in age. Especially considering an environment like this where members have been intimately e-involved since they were teens??
That's a good question, and I think it all has to do with walls a lot of us put up. These days it's all about who's the most "unbothered", "above it all"..."it's just a website, it's just a social network". I think many of us including myself are guilty of it to a lesser or greater extent.

In 2016 social networking accounts for a lot of interaction we have with one another. Maybe back in the era of dial-up/flip phones the term "it's just a <<insert random social network here>> " would be very relevant.

But people have lost their lives over social media beefs. I know a family that just had a bunch of drama based off of mess that went down on Facebook. These are still very relevant interactions, just through a different channel. I think the more people realize this, the less people will lose their jobs from FB posts or have people in front of their doors ready to fight "just" because they posted something offensive on Instagram.
!!!!!

and my perspective is a little different because i know im a rare breed in terms of being super super outgoing, and then all of a sudden
back into "hiding" whenever i see fit. I always make sure to still chat to as many people as possible even when indoors, but sometimes i shut everything off for peace, so although i cant speak for everyone here (and shouldn't try to) i do know that i personally have gone through at least a hundred different stages logging on to this site over the last 5 n a half years

I thought I'd outgrown it and even had negative thoughts of "Oh im above this shit now, too negative! haha" but i was dead wrong. I needed to come back and reintroduce myself, and for real this time. We're all real people. Every single one of us. It doesn't matter if its behind a screen. There's a LIFE behind the screen that we dont get to see and thats a big deal.

Hmmmm ... I think I see where Mel is coming from in the sense that ppl have said and did REALLY messed up stuff to him.

I feel like he's the kind of person that immediately separates the kind of ppl that can do nasty things into a "trash" pile of sorts.

Whereas everyone here is different, but I do see where he's getting the fake from in his argument.

And it's true in some members cases, but others are really genuine and kinda breeze thru the board not taking certain spats serious.

And tbh I think the HIV and AIDS jokes are very offensive, late and not funny. A lot of you I'm surprised to see them coming from because you all are so intelligent.  :uhh: The jokes make you all come off as very HIV phobic and that isn't cute.

SO true. A lot of it is a choice

But in my case, (right before i stopped posting for a couple weeks) I've learned through God that i'm the epitome of what an empath is. I feel it now more than ever, so there are MANY threads i haven't even read yet because i already know where it's going. I couldn't quite handle it at the time but now i just tell myself that i wont even enter a thread to even read it or go beyond page 1 if it's gonna bother me so much. It's all real life so i dont separate the two as much, anymore. SO, in this life, I'm now learning to feel and touch others without becoming so emotionally overwhelmed.

As you know, Artists of any kind can feel it more than anyone at times. It can be too much if you let it, but im great now.

And tbh I think the HIV and AIDS jokes are very offensive, late and not funny. A lot of you I'm surprised to see them coming from because you all are so intelligent.  :uhh: The jokes make you all come off as very HIV phobic and that isn't cute.

Cringe worthy even.

I love you. Beautiful self

He was like "you run Bsource? Like THEE BSource?"

I always figured people lurked. Hell, I lurk sometimes even when I'm not a member. We're an entertaining bunch.

And tbh I think the HIV and AIDS jokes are very offensive, late and not funny. A lot of you I'm surprised to see them coming from because you all are so intelligent.  :uhh: The jokes make you all come off as very HIV phobic and that isn't cute.

Cringe worthy even.

it's fake positivity tho.

that's the worst kinda "positivity" to display
How the fck is it not coming from a real place? no one here owes anyone ANYTHING! Dont nobody have to say anything about anyone.  U seem miserable tbh, it's unbecoming

cause it's bullshit. loll

you one of the main ones recently making the big ole spectacle, making a thread shading afro

And did u bypass the posts in here where we realized where things started, why things became tha way they did,  apologized and moved forward.  You're too old to be this way.  This board has really done a number on you

but luv...
I can't purchase what you're trying to sell me. I know it aint real gorl...

cause as soon as he says something you might not like yall will be back to square one
and vice versa....yall can only "play nice" but for so long until yall reveal your true selves...
But who in here said we are all going to be friends after this?  :dead:
Why because i said someone is smart does that have to mean I'm not gonna check them accordingly when necessary? No one is claiming to have swept all issues under the rug from here on out.  There's TONS of messy ass threads here,  why is it so crazy to have one where there's a cease fire and we all just be civil? We were all in ur thread advocating for u to have that and not everyone there was some mel fan. Ur doing the same thing lew did in there and it makes u look miserable tbh. Im done responding to your mess :dead:

BECAUSE YOU DON'T MEAN IT. LOL
the only reason you're saying anything is because you're being prompted to do so...

you cant stand him, you can't stand lew....
so I'm perplexed as to why you're trying to give nice. you know you dont mean it Lavaughn. lol
You dont really pay attention as much as you say you do

Vonc' softened on Lew WEEKS ago. Open your eyes/heart Mel. You definitely aren't the guy i came across 5 years ago, right now. I mean, we've all evolved, but i dont like some of what ur putting out there. Its really not the same

hmm....
you may be right.

but I'm done here. I'll leave the gorls to kill each other with kindness. lol

vvvcvcvcv i was literally like  :uhh:

you'd think ur being stalked for real sssss but its not that. Its pure admiration. People be in awe at how entertaining and unique it is here. I've seen other forums and this is just something special. I learned about music in general, through bsource. Just listening, watching and finding understanding by being able to understand the context in which certain musical words were being used

People like Ray, YOU, Siiren, Lee, Romero, Afro, Aalonso and SO many others (All of you, really)

this place is so much more than what i even wanted to acknowledge, even recently. I've always been a music lover and my taste has always been all over the place even before i could talk, but I'd actually learned about what i was hearing and why i liked it, through this very forum. Its trippy to think about, but its been another unconventional way of training for me. Its a small part of my training for the stage, my ear, my comedic timing ...  all of it. Im learning that nothing is small or meaningless. not one thing

congrats Mel....to turning a somewhat positive thread about you and what your negative assumptions brought! you kinda create the atmosphere of despair when you went left of people admiring good qualities of certain characters they don't "use"...sometimes you can be so contradicting with your logic of thinking at times and hate to be corrected! You can be judgemental and shading as any of us on here tbh....and you caused a whole riot in this thread. Like if you weren't feeling the thread you could have simply moved on and i ain't bout read no gaddamn pages after page 6....i have no beef with you but you started the fire in this thread  (http://share.gifyoutube.com/yAx9a9.gif)

I didn't cause a thing.
I didn't put a gun to anyone's head. These are grown ass adults
I said what I said and left it there, it's not my fault people got offended by it.
maybe they got offended because I was right...who knows

but I'm sorry you feel that way. :)

:ack:
im not gonna lie. Bsource is kinda where I can kick back and discuss music, BRANDY movies etc be silly and all that

A lot of people I know in "real" life don't even really like Brandy or is even into the kind of music I like. N

The only person I'd like to address us Afro.  It might seems that I'm sneaky it shady towards you during that time you deleted your account and I posted your pic but I'm a jokester.  I like to laugh and have fun. I didn't mean anything serious behind it. I love you and respect you.

Most of the time when I'm posting, if it's not serious, I'm laughing my ass off before I hit send. It's not serious to me. I'll admit, I'm young and I can be very sensitive because I'm very well liked by alot of people. I've had to adjust myself to not being likes here, which is cool because it shouldn't matter to me whether a bunch of faggots who can't even show their face likes me or not. I'm still learning and growing up. I'll definitely get better with time. I'm just changing man.
http://vocaroo.com/i/s1Mwsui6Jeyo

Well to address, I'm gonna be completely honest, I don't know how to properly read. I know how to defend myself but to reach into thin air and come up with reads isn't my thing. Also let's not act like we haven't gotten into it and lashed each other. I've never been one to bite my tongue towards you or anybody, so that's first. I explained why I posted your pic. I didn't write a caption, I didn't drag you or say anything bad about you, I just posted your pic. Even once I realized it hurt your feelings, I apologized.

I'm human, no one in life is consistent with their actions.  I can only try to be a better version of myself than I was yesterday.

It was funnier a few years ago when everyone would go :o

But it's still hilarious now  :kii: :kii:

I find what offends people entertaining. I remember when the Lailah jokes first started, even I was like  :diddraispoot: the first time

But nowadays I'm trying to see if ANYTHING can offend me anymore

Yea, I dont get offended by really anything on here. I dunno even offline this place has made certain things funny.

That vocoroo with Latisha going goo goo gaga, then it became sexualized, was the funniest thing I'd heard -- ever

I agree with everything Mel said. If I don't like you, I just don't like you.

I can only try to be a better version of myself than I was yesterday.
youre blessed and you're a blessing

When we've had our private texts and conversations, I knew some of what you'd been going through, so I admittedly started shading you a little afterwards because your actions weren't changing on the board and that hurt me. I expected you to change overnight and that's unfair and unrealistic for ALL of us. We're gonna have things to work on and improve until this human journey is over

I'm honestly super proud of you and everyone else today on this forum. Beautiful changes, exchanges and honesty have been happening since the morning if you've noticed.  If we all pay attention, we'd see it, feel it and acknowledge it out loud. I attribute it to God and will continue to

Bdndnndncncncnv when Ton' says Charmed has AIDS, I fall to the floor

The comedian in me doesn't give a shit. But I realize that many people that read this forum actually know people that have the disease, or have just been diagnosed with HIV themselves so It just gives me a funny feeling sometimes, that's all. Never a sense of despair or "omg how could we?!" Type of feeling

Awwwwwwww

Well yeah I felt like the culture here was to be mean and messy. You know I'm not that but I am a gemini and I carry myself in such manner. I feel like the way I move and carry myself is normal. The things I do here as far as my actions and what I share about myself is that of a normal individual. Nothing I do is foreign. I do think some are jealous, however.

Anyways, I wouldn't change a thing. I met some really dope ass people here, even an ex boyfriend, who's now my best friend (who no longer post here) that loves and rides for me.
