Mariah Carey will finally receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

f you're wondering, 'Wait, Mariah Carey doesn't already have a star?', you aren't alone. However, her time has come - Aug. 5 to be exact - when the elusive chanteuse will receive the 2,556th star. Directors Lee Daniels and Brett Ratner and Epic Records CEO and longtime Carey collaborator L.A. Reid are expected to speak at the anticipated event.

Carey just finished her 2015 "Infinity" run in Las Vegas over the weekend, performing two sold-out shows at the Colosseum with a celebratory appearance at 1OAK nightclub in between. Her next show's scheduled for Feb. 2, 2016.
