Tbh, if I'm in the GA standing section and I'm close to the artist and I can feel their energy, then I'm going to show out, dance, throw my hands up in the air and have fun. That's how I make eye contact with them a lot of times because they can clearly point me out in a sea of phones or just people standing. 

So I get the whole energy/crowd thing.
