The Wire is definitely hood all around
Oscar Grant was from the hood in Fruitvale
Creed was set in the hood of Philly
Michael?s character in Friday Night Lights was from the Texas hood etc

I only saw Fruitvale and FNL, and half of Creed.  Those characters were all poor and from the hood, but they were nothing like Killmonger.  They had none of the passionate aggression and intensity.  None of them were villains.

The only thing I have ever seen him in was All My Children and Chronicle.

I agree, Eric Killmonger  was vastly different from those characters.

Finally got to see the movie this weekend, it slayed.  :gorlonfire: :gorlonfire:

That United Nations scenes at the end  :stressed: great message that all world leaders should share their resources together.

Lupita slayed. Danai also slayed.

Chadwick omffff  :ohwow:

Michael B Jordan also slayed, but why is he always playing the hood nigga in these movies? Nnnn

And that girlfriend he was kissing in the beginning at the ambulance/museum, did we ever see her again? I don't remember seeing her in the rest of the movie
dddfddfdffd he shot her

fruitvale, creed, the wire  :uhh:

friday night lights.. hard ball  :uhh:

GORL
,v

hes not HOOD in any of those movies

seriously? :dead:

I'll give you wire/FNL cause i havent seen them

even then, thats literally 1/3 of his filmography

and if he is? So the fuck what? :bvy:
yea i finally got around to watching some of the Creed movie (gonna finish it on hulu) and his new love interest even commented on the fact that he wasn't hood or physically imposing, so she was shocked he would even be interested in boxing ssssssd

but yea he was definitely "hood" in Fruitvale and did a really good job in that sad ass movie

He plays the same character but it?s ok
He does great at them
I?d rather someone master a role and shit
Than be diverse and a fool
he pretty much plays himself to an extent but thats just how film is overall. The stage and broadway is the arena where you really have to become a completely different person unlike yourself. In THAT sense it's a greater challenge, but obviously they're both very difficult.

yummy

Michael is a competent actor, but putting him alongside all those drama school trained actors was a mistake

He had the second to most important role in the film and delivered the weakest performance

i agree, i just dont wanna sound like a snob  :kii: :kii:

I'd GLADLY be the "weakest" of that bunch, as they're extraordinary IMO, but he did a really good job overall, with his heartfelt scenes toward the end. Honestly he slayed that much harder than the whole evil thing  :dead:

Daniel Kal'  from Get out was the weakest to me or most forgettable, i should say.

yummy

that death scene kinda veered into Tyler Perry play territory for a bit

his delivery can be worked on for sure. the most cringey scene delivery wise was his initial challenge for the throne, right when they got in that
