and part of that  whole experience is tipping
it's def a culture in itself

not so much about a matter of being able to afford it or not IMO but more about just being nice
if you love the whole culture of going out to eat and being served your food instead of cooking it and serving it to yourself
take into consideration those who provide you this luxury.

we cannot forget that it is a luxury. they aren't asking poor orphans for tips after handing them bags of rice and bottled water for basic survival.

Tipping is a courtesy, not an obligation. I was shocked when I went overseas and tips weren't accepted. Wtf is America doing. Pay these people a fair wage.

America is so fucking WEIRD. I agree with everything he said in the video. Why are we paying extra for people to do their jobs? Customers should not be made to feel guilty and "fill in the gaps" because service businesses aint paying their employees shit.

Just remember these people aren't "choosing" these jobs

many of them have no choice but to work them . I'm super confident that if many of them were able to find something less strenuous and better paying , they'd hop on it .

so if nothing else can we please stop with the "you chose this job! Tuh! Not my fault!" mess. It's extremely unfair and I honestly feel if people let that mentality go they'd be more compassionate to service workers.

a lot of us get a whole KICK out of going out and being served food .

"Ooooh what do U recommend waitress? I have a feeling for something spicy lolz!" 

The waitress coming back to your table to check on you, refill your drinks , being polite . And after all that you feel it's OK to leave them nothing as a tip, knowing they only get paid 2 bucks an hour?

Spending days worth of grocery money on one meal, but concluding that tipping the person who served it just too much.

Does that sound like a nice thing to do?  And forget being nice, does it even sound reasonable ?
