That's not what he's even saying
He's saying the soft voiced/strong dancer formula, isn't working and hasn't since the middle of last decade.
We haven't had a new black female superstar emerge in the last decade either, it has nothing to do with someone being able to dance or not :dead:

No Black girl really has a lane to really SLAY right now besides the 3 we see over and over again.

Has nothing to do with a "weak voice" or never popping off

Black artists...especially singers aren't getting the support they use to get
Black artists , more so females are having problems popping off in general.

!!!!!!!

What dancer/singer has really blown up had staying power and maintained like that after 2004

The first thing the girls want to shout is "SUPPORT!"

Yet Tinashe has been supported more than most white artists.  The label has given her like 20 singles and videos.  She's on every show, truck stop & billboard promoting her music.

Support!

Please.  I see her more than I see most artists.

And Ciara has no problem booking gigs either.

Thank you!

They ain't dumb.  But they like to pretend they are.
Jazmine sullivan can sing. She's a flop. So can k michelle, shanice, tiffany evans, etc and aren't focused on choreography

None of them are building traction

Maybe this thread is just dumb

I will say it can't be easy to for an artist to market herself as some "singing/dancing" sensation while Queen Knowles reigns. She owns that lane and ain't ready to let no girl get up in it.

Still, the mainstream radio doesn't recognize an abundance of similar sounding artists, especially where black girls are concerned.

And i can name 10+ white superstars in music while we have the same 4 in urban.

Has nothing to do with being able to dance or whatever. The music market just shifted out of black artist's favor.

I see what ur saying here because Tinashe definitely has been supported and ciara has too. Ciara aint had a hit album in over a damn decade yet she was always throwing out videos, 5 first singles, and wasn't dropped  (until recently). Some of these girls suffer from lack of label support but ciara and Tinashe aint them.
This is my pass to say WHATEVER tf I wanna say about the mess she releases so I don't wanna hear SHIT! Baby mama is a mess of a song btw

Aaliyah did kinda well. Queen Cassie is my fave of the whispery dancer arch type.
