We had a discussion about this a while back. Personally I think they are pointless unless it's the holidays or u throw a party or something and don't feel like washing everything.

I don't like how there's still dried food and white residue still left on the dishes afterwards.

But umm ...  yes I do.  I hand wash and RINSE them first, but for that extra good feeling of absolutely knowing they're clean, I stick em in the dishwasher

When i had one...once or twice a month BUT you'd still have to rinse them off first before putting into it so you might as well wash them by hand

I load the dishwasher, run it, then never empty it.

I just take plates and spoons straight from the dishwasher and let them pile up in the sink till it's time to load it again.


I do that with clothes from the dryer too.
