Nnnnn

BET were wrong for not giving Nas any nominations.... however, they are still pretty much the only successful Black network that is "for us, by us". Publicly shitting on a Black network really ain't the move..... especially when you consider the fact that most of his fan base are impressionable kids/young teens who aren't even Black.

This gimmick isn't as funny or entertaining as his hyper sexual fag gimmick he did last year.

Nas & his team didn't think this thru.
BET aint "by us"

Even though I agree with that quoted post, BET is owned by Paramount (ex Viacom) and the major holders (40%) are Wall Street funds like Blackrock, Vanguard, JP Morgan.

BET is def "for us" , regardless of who owns it

And it is also "by us" to an extent, considering the network was originally created by a Black man and a Black woman - Robert and Sheila Johnson.  It was bought out, but the network is literally a product of black vision and creativity .

It started off by primarily... you guessed it .... airing music videos and reruns of our favorite sitcoms . Ndnfnfnf sometimes the simple things get the job done

And, a lot of people in high positions within the company with ability to make significant impact on the network and its programming , including CEOs, have been Black - even after the buy out.

Couldn't imagine life without it
Not many channels we can turn to and see nothing but us all day if we want to.

that being said , I did also think of a possibility  the network let him perform for ratings but voting committee excluded him from the actual award Noms for his provocatively "gay music" .

So liL nas isn't crazy for thinking that .

Eh...

🤦🏿‍♂️ not him making f*ck BET a part of the actual song... It was ok as a little snippet but it's just weird to make it part of an actual single

Hearing it on the actual song is def a bit much especially considering his audience and BET did have him perform last year.
