YES! This is my biggest gripe. Like be your own artist. Everytime I click play on her shit it's a bunch of breathiness and it's just Meh! Brandy is a breathy singer but there's also other elements to her voice that her daughter just doesn't have, so she's just not impressive.

Its gonna come down to the production and song content for me. Artists like Syd kinda have that Syrai tone too. Or even Solange (nothing groundbreaking, kinda just there), but its the production that carries them. Their creativity and their uniqueness. Syrai cant come out on Summer Walker esque songs/beats that any ole R&B girl can sing and pop. But Im still willing and intigued to hear what she brings, but honestly, my expectations are low.
Vocals & production are like what's already out. She needs something to separate her from what's already being done. With the right marketing, production, development of her vocals & lyrics she could do well. I like her voice on uptempo productions that she's teased over the years.

Yeah I was going to say that she probably feels a lot of pressure to be a famous artist/celebrity herself because of Bran and Ray -J's massive success in the past, but she's a very articulate, intelligent lady she could've been a doctor or a lawyer mess easily and make a lot of money. Not everyone is meant to be a star. And you may be even happier pursuing a different career path.
I really feel like Syrai enjoys music, which is more than I can say for some of the girls that maybe have more "umph" but have no real passion and be ready to quit the industry every 5 minutes.. or just hate recording music.
She's still young and definitely came into it a different way than her mom. Syrai already had the access so there isn't a lot of fire to prove anything. I think when she experiences more adult things and tries different writers/producers she'll give a tea. It does take talent to do arrangements and harmonies.. and hell to sing on key without a bunch of filters. She just has to go from giving demo singer to artist

The suggestions that a 20 y.o give up on her dreams has me like :-/ . Sy'Rai posted earlier this month how she just finished college & said in interviews she was in school for music. She appears to be a good kid & could have turned out bratty bc of growing up in wealth. Bran did an excellent job w her.

Yeah sis has good comedic timing, her YouTube vids have funny moments. She's definitely an introvert but ain't nothing wrong with that
