I'm from the south and I can't stand that "matriarch", I say what I want and you can't mess. I'm all for respect and I definitely don't say any ol thing to my mother..but I'm not gonna just sit and say "Yes ma'am" if I have a response to what you're saying. That's the type of dynamic my mom had with her mother. That mess is over.
