THIS IS WHAT IT IS!!!! Dull was the word I used but her vocals sound LIFELESS to me.  That's a better word to describe them

And I kinda hate that Brandy is vocally producing the album cause of course, shes gonna be easily compared to her now. There are parts of Syrai's tone that sounds good. When she goes higher, its not as nice so I prefer her in a certain pocket, like Jhene or SZA. She doesnt have to give 'belting' cause shes just not that girl. Her voice thins out there and sounds too...young.

I also think the production of the songs we r hearing are too simplistic. And sound very soundcloud-ish. Harder beats on softer vocals is what I tend to prefer. Ala Timbaland and Aaliyah. Im intrigued to hear what the EP sounds like though. Im sure I'll like some of the songs.

Yeah she's a creative girl, I think she could benefit from better production..a lil bass. A little more emotion, flair, sass. She's just singing the notes mostly

Yea and that's why it doesn't work for me.  This blahze ass whispering over these basic ass tracks ain't good. She needs to perfect her style a bit more before releasing music imo
