Nick, i think ur right about Brandy playing a dual role in this video in terms of masc and feminine

I see it. There's a even a scene where it looks like she's literally playing a dual role. A brandy meets Moesha tea

I think it's when she started clapping or had that tambourine. I need to watch again tomorrow on a bigger  screen, cuz my iPhone simply wont do  :dead:

!!!!!!

Yes I def see it. It all makes sense. She provides on the stage like a damn zaddy

Bitch when I watched on the tv screen it slays more.  It's like a whole different experience

She's definitely making references to playing both roles throughout the video. Even this scene with her rolling from under the car.

I love that!!  At first I was like uuuum why is she giving mechanic? But that makes sense! "Providing like a daddy" "never really needed you" I wonder what's her relationship like with Robert lol never hear her speak of him and all of a sudden this song.

Her rolling from under that car like she's a mechanic looks stupid
No it doesn't  :uhh:
It kinda did, I agree lol... my first thought was wtf is she doing? fixing cars?
then I watched Sammie Davis Jr. video and I understood
but your average viewer will not be checking for video references
:-/

But outside of that, I do love the video

No it doesn't. She looks beautiful.
Yes she does look beautiful, but that doesn't excuse that part of the video being possibly misunderstood.
Yeah, whew. I just can't get over how fucking voluptuous she looks. Almost makes me want to go straight. :howfestive:

I honestly think they have a respectable relationship. I don't think this song is completely auto-biographical lol

I was thinking the same thing last night when I really listened to the lyrics for the first time, especially Chance's part.

But I'm sure they have a good relationship. Syrai has always been close to her dad and Robert hardly seems like a deadbeat.

Yes it or else she wouldn't have done this song. She wouldn't want to disrespect her daughters' father if their relationship was good.
