Yea i never believed that whole film idea with Issa. She doesn't seem to care for doing visuals in any capacity

Oh I agree, same here. But I was actually surprised too that she allowed the music and performances shine for itself and that was more successful for her than the rollouts she seen for the last few albums

right. Honestly i didnt even realize that she didnt make any videos until today

I think it was smart. She put the focus on her voice and music/songwriting which are her strengths. She's never had great videos and I'm sure RCA was glad to save money by not having a video budget

I think an actual story/visual would make sense for a themed album like this and could've helped people get into the songs more if they weren't really connected to some of em, but, in terms of the success, yea she didn't really need videos. She was everywhere

The way I replayed her Tiny Desk and the live performances of the song, I wouldn't have even watched the music videos. They were smart with how they released her music this past era. And her next era, they should do the same.
