Cowgirl

I'm not, I wasn't gonna keep replying with blackface photos

:dead: :dead: :dead:

But what I understand is that it kinda depends on the shade for it to be offensive..

Cowgirl

And depends on the role of the person they're trying to depict...

GLOCK

No
It doesn't
It's all offensive to someone ...
Because of where it derives from..
And u can do a costume without matching skin colors.. I see it all the time!

SUPREME

I wonder if someone would be offended if I put on a kippah and dressed up as a gas chamber for Halloween

But the intent would be derogatory just as if a white person painted themselves in black and dressed like a slave.

i agree a white girl dressing in tommy hilfiger trying to be AALIYAH in the 90's is cool

I think there's a difference between homage and an offensive parody/caricature

If Heidi Klum did a photo shoot dolled up as Grace Jones or Naomi Campbell with black paint on ha body, she would get roasted for year straight.
it's all about the history behind it of course

It's not the same thing. It doesn't offend ME but people from that time, feeling a bit uneasy about it ..  I wouldn't blame them

It's funny, I guess we as a people don't have that issue.

Whites are SO enthralled in our culture :dead:

I like white actors and singers, but you won't catch me as Justin Timberlake for Halloween. It's just more so weird why they do it

Sinpool

I guess it depends even though I'm not offended and believe no one should do it.

tbh Im really more offended by those who believe that any form of tar black paint is blackface.

Someone could just paint themselves black not portraying any character or person and people will call it blackface
