3 trending, behind two big basketball topics
And ahead of Beyoncé!

I love that Brandy is getting so much attention when so many major events are occurring right now.

I love it!!

Sovereign.

It takes a whilst for "Saving All My Love" to pick up, but when it does it's so pretty.

"Rather Be" is so timeless. She should've did more songs with Victoria. Bran's songwriting is...out there. This was a big change for her though so I admire that.

NOW THIS!!!! I would've scrapped the rest of the album or reworked most of it once Victoria cane in the picture... she did what the fuck she had to do

Check this out. Verzuz / BeatRoute Interview:

QuoteBR: Beautiful. Were there any songs that almost didn't make it on B7?

B: Yes. There was a song, it's my daughter's favourite song, called "Rather Be." It's a mid-slow song and it's beautiful—it almost didn't make the album. I would have been so disappointed because, from my daughter to DJ Camper, who produced it, anyone that heard it, they were calling it an air quotes "Brandy Song." I didn't buy into that, but it really is. Victoria Monét wrote it and she writes a lot of songs for Ariana Grande, and Tonio Dickson, who writes a lot with Babyface and Toni Braxton. When you have those kinds of people writing the song with you, you don't leave [it] off of the album [laughs].

Glad it did make it. Was one of the last songs she recorded I heard. Imagine if Victoria was on board from the very beginning.
One of The best songs of her career

the way I Am More leans into High Heels. Y'all are fucking sleeping on it. First of all...the production alone.  :uhh:

!!!!!!!
I fucking love it. Reminds me of Candice Nelson a bit..

The transition between Borderline and No Tomorrow using tubular bells...

Mix that shit in a proper way from the left to the right ear. DUH.

No! That slow ass plump guy just dropped it like that.
I hate basic niggers. I swear.
!!

Broke my heart :melmel:

Lucid Salvatore

I'm about to finish my second full listen of the album

Stan bias aside, I think I'd give this album a 7.7-8/10. Vocally and lyrically, this is one of her best projects to date but I do think the production on some tracks could've used some more oomph and could've been more polished. Maybe it'll grow on me but after 2 listens, I still find the production of SAML to be grating  :dead: I do love the lyrics and vocals on SAML tho

Also, Baby Mama sounds much better as an album track rather than a lead single. I didn't really use when Brandy released it a couple months ago but I like it when listening to the album in full here

As of right now, here are my top 3 tracks (in no order):

- Lucid Dreams
- Unconditional Oceans
- Say Something

A few of you should just reconsider being Brandy fans.

:dead:

You should just reconsider your presence on...the board  :uhh:

I honestly don't understand some of these songs. And it's upsetting me.

yeah I've been relistening  with the lyrics but I'm starting to get frustrated lol maybe I need to try and listen withouf preconceived notions. Right now it's just not making sense to me or I can't follow it as easily as I'm used to following

FRANCE

Her agility and use of melisma on this album is superior to the rest of her albums. She showed off!

btw i dont think she was shading "say something"
looks like she was giving a "this song speaks for itself" tea

there's no way she could be shading it.

there would be no reason for her to put a song on the album if she doesn't like it.
She doesn't seem to use boo
Sorry
Even after it played
"That's the song"
