I think the problem, for the starz at least, is that we're in an era of music where everything is becoming increasingly instantaneous for the fans of most artists. Mixtapes, EPs and even LPs being released in 6-12 month intervals in most cases. We must bear in mind that a lot of artists doing this are quite younger than GHan. I think her appearance may sometimes make us forget that she is a woman in her mid-30's, and is from an era of music where it was OK for fans to wait, and to make sure everything was "right" before releasing. Younger artists are much more spontaneous, which is something that is generally appreciated. More and more people crave raw mess. The less orchestrated, the better.
Another problem facing artists who are are a bit more old fashioned in their dealings is the rate in which we are introduced to new artists. Every week, I see a new artist popping up and gaining steam through the avenues of social media, blogs and Youtube. The flood gates are clearly open, and unless you are one of the gorls who are consistently running to make sure sandbags are laid properly to secure the foundation of their house from the rushing waters....

At least she has never spoken about it, so... the most logical conclusion is that the directors are the ones to decide the concept (both videos, photoshoots, artwork and all of that)

Bran is just not the type of artist to have a unique vision for a music video, weird/original photoshoot or anything like this. At least she has never spoken about it, so... the most logical conclusion is that the directors are the ones to decide the concept (both videos, photoshoots, artwork and all of that)
Her managers aren't creative either.....

No shade, but this might be my last era as a stan.
Like, I'll always be a fan & have love for Brandy, and I'll always support her. She's my favorite voice and that's not gonna change, but this shit is frustrating, and I shouldn't feel that way about something that has nothing to do with me.
After this era, the next album won't come until she's in her 40s, and I just don't see things getting much better on the music business front. As she gets older she'll become less of a priority to these labels, especially if she keeps bouncing around instead of sticking with one a building a relationship.

I ain't making excuses because she deserves a lashing, but I honestly feel like this is DJ Camper's fault. He should have never even mentioned it, and probably did so prematurely. And that just put the pressure on Bran and here her ass is throwing out dates and raising expectations. I doubt she was ready to announce the mess when he did it.

dont think it was just the Jessie duet, Bran has been saying for years that she wanted to work with uk producers, to explore new sounds and all of that.
Not to mention that concert she did there for 2/11 and Emeli Sande talking to her about working together too. And... years ago, or between Human and 2/11... didnt someone on here confirmed that Brandy worked with some european producers? even recorded a OMG type of song (Usher single) but Brandy didnt want it to leak or release?
Im sure Brandy would USE uk producers, dont know why she hasnt done it in full force, at least during some months.
