Weak was bigger than all TLC songs on their debut albums that came out the same year. They were definitely in the league until CSC came out

So for 1 album??
Hccbcbcbc
yes lolz

Justice Jackson

So for me, I knew "who can i run to" from off the hook album and the singles from Traces, but a lot of Xscape discovery happened for me after Kandi went solo.

That's when I went back and listened to the albums and I was in love with Kandi's voice. She sang the lows but also sang the melody bgvs on a lot of songs. Sis  was doubled up and turned up lol
Ketanji Jackson has come this far by faith.

Ketanji Brown will still beatcho ass.

I agree but SWV was definitely one of trinity of R&B girl groups of the 90's alongside En Vogue and TLC. Those 3 groups were superior than the rest.

Justice Jackson

I was obsessed with all R&B girl groups in the 90s so I can't really choose sides. TLC was definitely bigger than SWV and Xscape. But they were all loved by myself and my friends. I would say Brownstone was at the bottom but I loved them. And then 702 and Destiny's child got bigger right at the Millennium but were also popular before that. En Vogue was always more adult but played a lot at my house.

We talk about sales now but we didn't really care about that back then.

Good point, if were talking my faves then it's SWV/DC4/702 in that order.

But sales and impact I'd say:

En Vogue
DC3/TLC
SWV
Xscape/Brownstone
702

Then the lesser girls like Jade, Kut Klose, Mokensteff etc

I'd put Jade above Brownstone in terms of sales.

People sleep on Jade vocally though.
