I definitely agree that she needs to just sing sometimes. I love B7 but that was my issue with the album. CWB has shown major improvement tho, hopefully she continues with this direction because I love this.

Brandy definitely got comfortable with her leads. Her ad libs also used to be a lot more intentional and firm. She still does amazing adlibs but they don't stick as much

I actually think tha opposite.  I think when people think brandy can't sing, THIS IS WHY! I distinctly remember critiques of B7 and people saying why is she doing all this mumbling and whispering. Musical people are wowed by stacks and harmonies, the intricacies of runs, etc.  Most people just wanna hear SINGING

Only song I thought she missed that opportunity was the track with Sy'Rai when she said "let's go up Sy'Rai"  then they went up and key but there were no finishing adlibs

Feels Different is great but it should've been more. There are literally like NO climactic moments on any of these songs

Yea I don't think that is the case with this album.  I think she did exactly what people are looking for when they click play on a brandy album.

This is her style.  While I think she coulda did a full note here or there it pushed her self in that last section of  Christmas gift I don't think that distracts from this being a top notch Christmas album. 

When I play a brandy album I am looking for musicality.  I'm sure it's similar when a person listens to say Jenn Hudson they anticipating wales and over singing

With that being said I respect your opinion.

Yes!! That's why I love have yourself a merry so much . Like girl sing!!! Seems like she's using falsetto alot more on this album. Sometimes I just want her to sing full out and adlib us to death like old brandy. Love the album tho
