Monica seemed open to it depending on the context. She knows that people want to see her go against Brandy. But she knows they don't have the type of relationship where they could do it and it be friendly and supportive like Babyface and Teddy Riley. She's afraid of a Sean Garrett/Dream situation.

The nature of Verzuz is a competition which is why her and Brandy would be perfect for it. And the fans have been doing it to them for years so it would be a great full circle moment lol

But this would be a good match because while Brandy exceeds Monica in quality and artistry, Monica has more urban and commercial hits. Brandy is more revered by her peers but Monica has more industry connections. It could go either way depending on the crowd.
