I that video where the dude teased it there was a song with (This Christmas) next to it. So I think she did do some kinda version of it but where the f is it? 😢

Sovereign.

I'm glad she didn't do "This Christmas". I'm TIRED of that cover.  :plzstop:

ReVon

I REMEMBER I USED TO HATE DESTINY'S CHILD VERSION OF "THIS CHRISTMAS". NOW I LOVE IT CAUSE IT SOUNDS NOTHING LIKE
MOST OF THE COVERS OF THE SONG EVERYONE ELSE DOES. THEY REALLY WENT LEFT WITH THE PRODUCTION. I APPRECIATE
IT SO MUCH MORE TODAY.

Can't wait for the originals more than anything!

As for the covers, really excited to see what she does with Someday At Christmas the most and I feel like it'll be my favorite. Glad she's not doing This Christmas tho, I feel like that song is always done by those who do Christmas covers.

ReVon

ALSO DOES ANYBODY ELSE GET A CHRISTMAS SONG FROM "WARM IT UP WITH LOVE"?

:plzstop:  :kii:  :dead: THAT SONG ALWAYS MAKES ME FEEL LIKE CHRISTMAS TIME.
I DEFINITELY HAVE IN ON A CHRISTMAS PLAYLIST.  :plzstop:  :kii:  :dead:

Leslie Odom Jr. commented on Brandy's IG post about this.
She and him would slide on a Christmas, Bluesy, or Broadway song.
I hope they collab one day in music or on Broadway.
Brandy's peers really love her across the entertainment business.
She really is their queen.

Yesterday, I was able to catch an early preview of "Best Christmas Ever." I know this was a made for Netflix holiday film, so I was not expecting anything Oscar worthy. However, the film was really bad in my opinion. Also, to be clear, I think Brandy delivered on what was expected of her character, so it's not that she did a bad job, so much as the overall writing, storyline, plot, and character development was bad.

She does sing a tad bit in the film. She has two songs, "Let It Snow" and "Santa Claus is Coming to Town." It may be good that the actor's strike is still happening. I'd hate for her to promote this film, ahead of "The Front Room" coming out. I really want her to be taken seriously as an actress, this film - while not necessarily by any fault of her own, did not help with that.

The trailer didn't look good so I'm not surprised. I'll still check it out to see for myself though

Don't worry 'The Front Room' is what's going to shift Bran's acting domination.
I just looked at IMDB and as of October 25th it's still in post-production.
So probably not a Q1 2024 release.
It seems based on your review that Best.Christmas.Ever! gives the usual Netflix Christmas movie which IMO it's nothing wrong with that.
She'll always been booking roles because of who she is.

There are no good Christmas movies really ..maybe home alone ...not y'all expecting an Oscar from a fucking Netflix movie. Have any Netflix movies won Oscars? Stupid.

Jon

I mean its glorified Hallmark movie. They are usually kinda cheesy and terrible.

Christmas movies aren't meant to be taken seriously. :plzstop:  They're lighthearted, cheesy, and corny for family enjoyment and togetherness. I'm not expecting top tier acting.
