let me explain a bit. i am always neutral when a new gorl shows up. its also easier when they are both unknown and no one has ever heard of them, like kenya and porsha when they joined the show. you wanna see how they are and interact with the other girls.


i identified with porsha instantly. She is younger and prettier. Though I also felt sorry for her cause we all knew Cordell wasnt SHIT! So i had a soft spot seeing her go through that.


kenya gave me broke, OLD, mean and SINGLE AUNTIE who always got something smart to say about someones relationship but aint got a man to warm her bed at night. At the time the women she was coming for were all married.

 
Porsha was a little naive but they were having a nice convo here and trying to get things sorted. then kenya said," you're a pawn in that situation." basically saying she is being used and such. So she's like a perpetual victim that get's passes for being youthful and pretty privilege. I wonder if her fans see themselves as victims as well. Probably. One last thing, not sure if you saw or not cause this thread is big, but a few pages back I said I am giving Kenya a clean slate cause it is stupid to not like someone for what they did years ago. Kenya has more character and substance to her than just "being pretty". I think many people on here who like Kenya are always stating complimenting her virtuous traits and how forgiving she is to people who don't extend the same forgiveness back.

I also think it's impossible for someone to give Kenya a clean slate if you still are viewing her past seasons through the same biased lens without considering all the times she's been scrutinized because of bias and nothing else.  Any innocuous action she has moving forward you are gonna be hyper vigilant to find something wrong, because of the initial impression she had on you from over a decade ago. This has been happening every season, so it will be no different for S16. People are still judging Kenya's interactions with newer cast-members based on grievances they still hold on to in regards to Porsha and Phaedra from over a decade ago. I can't speak for everyone who likes Kenya, but that's not the case with me disliking Porsha. Porsha is regressive. She may present fun and cute, but there is no depth.

With that said though I'm open to Porsha's return, but I'm not hopeful. And the difference in giving Kenya a clean slate versus Porsha is that there is a stark contrast in their personhood. Porsha is a gutter, survivalist, individual who was groomed to be a hoe. Kenya is more emotionally intelligent and has less cluster b personality traits than Porsha, NeNe or Phaedra.

I am not viewing kenya through a past lens. Someone literally asked me a question about kenya and i was explaining my distaste for kenya and where it all started for me. Yeah...I think you skimmed what I typed because I stated me looking at Porsha through a past lens doesn't apply to me because my perception of her isn't held 100% in bias. I dislike her character but I am fair. So I'm not gonna fool myself, but I am open to her possibly surprising me.
