Yes, for continuity's sake.  They'll film several days in the same outfit/approximately the same hairstyle because it might be weeks later.  The stylists will try to replicate the look as close as possible so that it looks seamless for tv viewers.

I remember Vicki from OC saying they couldn't make drastic changes to their hair because of confessionals.
