Andy doesn't give a fuck about what the fans want... it's just a game of favoritism. He's literally acknowledged before that the fanbase is bored with Cynthia but despite that, he still feels she brings something special to the show.  Same with Kandi. He was very impressed by the whole mistress mess. The only thing she did was bring Bolo there....

I agree with Funky Dineva. Production AND the cast are just lazy n TIRED. They don't even bother putting fake storylines together anymore.
