They were both hits. The Hot 100 is a great indication of a hit but when a song is top 20 on the Hot 100 AND RIAA certified platinum, it's def a hit.

 

Am I wrong? They weren't smashes but they were moderate hits

There's no change, radio shouldn't mean as much as it does. That being said, Nicki had always had sales and streams which matter. She just happens to ALSO have radio now and that shows how unstoppable she can be.

Both SFG and BMS have sales and steams but the longevity on the Hot 100 comes from radio but it shouldn't be that way.

But for them to be receiving the radio play they are as black women at their age and stage in their careers>>>
