R&B is struggling for certain artists, I guess. but the #1 song in the country is a R&B song by a R&B artist.

Sinpool

truthfully Hip Hop hasn't had a problem.

It's the R&B that's not infused with some Hip Hop mess that hasn't been getting it's just due, but I like to think it's because it's become stagnant a bit.

There was a while when Trey Songz type sex music just cluttered R&B, but now I feel with the Weeknd, Jhene, Kelela, Miguel etc., there's more variety coming in again

Young

Earned it doesn't give me REAL rythym and blues, no shade.

But he is booking.

Other than that, R&B is the one most definitely struggling

I think a lot of people are still in the mindset that the soulful, sangin' R&B is all that matters. It's okay to admit that sound won't comeback. Sor'. It just won't unless you're fat and white then you will get spins on AC, Pop and even Rhythmic. If you're black, you're stuck with Urban AC. That's why so many are leaning more towards Hip-Hop now and getting rap artists to feature.

There's a new wave; Weeknd, Drake's sound, Kelela is coming through with her sound too.

Why are you lying? :uhh:

Everything about that song is R&B.
The tempo, lyrics, vocals, production.

He slayed with no feature.

It's nice that The Weeknd is slaying, but I need more R&B artist to do the same. It shouldn't be just one artist doing the slaying
