Purple Moon

She said 'Free everyone' after an activist proclaimed 'Free P.'

People are saying she 'all lives matter'd them... :ohwow:

this combined with the video of her telling her daughter that the P. flag is the Brazilian flag  :hmph:

Must be a purple moon, feel like one of those nights...

the only parallel being pointed out here is that she used the same non-existent logic that the all lives matter people used, in her response. I do hear you though, peoples motives for bringing up BLM when discussing other movements are shady alot of times from my observation aswell.

Kim is trying to act diplomatic once again with her statement. My problem is she mentioned the terror attack as if it is the start of the problem, while it was actually a reaction to Israel's treatment of Palestinians. Of course the attacks are horrible and I feel bad for the innocent victims, but it's also good to realize the people in Gaza are in a prison and innocent Palestinians have been locked up, tortured, bullied, killed and forced out of their houses. The war in Gaza should not be justified by claiming it's just revenge to what Hamas did. Israel has been waiting for a reason to completely destroy and dominate. The bigger picture/problem (the war not the attack in October) is not a both sides, all lives situation (there's a power imbalance, Israel has control over Gaza). I don't like how Kim ignores this history, ignores that the attack is a reaction to Israel's crimes.

Israel and their illegal settlements have been trying to get rid of Palestinians for years and years. (The USA has been helping them for years, provided lots of weapons and bombs to help Israel overpower Palestinians...both sides simply don't have the same power) South Africa has compared this to apartheid for a reason and they are leading the court case against Israel about a possible genocide.

I believe we should feel sorry for all innocent lives that are lost. All children suffering because of this...but the political situation is not 'all lives matters'..it's just not a fair fight, Israel should have learned from the horror of the WW and not treat other human beings as animals that need to be destroyed.

I agree with both of you. I understand the comparison (basically Kim trying to please both pro Israel and pro Palestinian people), but it is just too complex to compare the two situations. These are two different situations (own history, own specific factors/circumstances like politics, religion & location in the world). And it often creates more confusion than solutions or helpful insights.

I also didn't like how some climate activists tried to add that Gaza war to their agenda.. keep separate issues separate please

I truly believe this was a false flag operation. Israeli intelligence knew they were planning something and they didn't stop the attack or intervene for 12 HOURS. Netanyahu sacrificed his people to justify the war and stay in power. He truly needs to answer for his despicable crimes, but, Kim has nothing to do with that. And neither does Joe Biden...or you or me. This rests with Netanyahu himself. And Hamas. Let them fight it out. Like Russia vs Ukraine. We shouldn't get involved any further than by proxy and diplomacy. IMO

I think Kim should have kept her mouth shut.. it's just best to not get involved. I get she's trying to be some sort of First Lady playing around with the idea of being in law/politics..but I need her to take her selfies and stay at home honestly.

I do think internationally leaders should speak up about basic human rights and rights in war. Stop supplying Israel with weapons, boycott settler products, there need to be sanctions etc. I think it's good that people all over the world are protesting. People in the USA should speak up because Biden is directly involved and as an international community you can't just let a genocide happen (or worse help Israel with genocide). Netanyahu needs to be stopped; he and army leaders need to be send to international court. Just because you are in war doesn't mean there are no laws. Israel has a responsibility  to the people in Gaza because they are occupying it. If Putin is treated like the devil for bombing a couple of hospitals, Netanyahu should be as well for bombing, entering hospitals and shooting people who are vulnerable (another war crime). He should not force people to move or deny basic aid (war crime on top of war crime).

Amazing

How is Biden not involved when most of the weapons Israel uses are supplied by America for free and let's not even mention the billions of dollars in Aid every year.

Israel is arguably an American colony in the Middle East. Even Netanyahu was born and raised in Boston. A lot of the people in positions of power in Israel were born and raised in the USA.
