I don't know what R&B you listen to but Nao, Chrisette, dvsn, Kehlani, Drake and a lot of others have put out great music.

Y'all are always putting it on the music. MOST of us don't even legally buy the music to begin with

And make it somehow where people can connect with social media,

I don't know any release dates except the artist that I actually listen to & follow.

106 & TRL helped ALL artists promote their release date,
whereas with YouTube and other social media you are only gonna see those you "FOLLOW"

It's a no brainer.
I would be PERCHED for exclusive performances, music-related films.

We run to the TV to watch any other show.

Traditional shows, yes.
And even then I catch my EMPIRE, HTGAWM, on Hulu.com most of the time.

But why Music-related shows when I control my music consumption and can watch any video online?

When my little nephews want to see and hear music.
They're not waiting for TRL, 106.

Those little 2-and-3-year-old fingers are slaying that iPad and perched on Youtube.

That's the NEW generation coming up.
They don't know a LIFE without youtube and music being associated with that.
