One of my clients was kicked out on the streets, even AFTER his family made him eat from plastic plates and utensils when they found out he was gay. They automatically said thought he had aids and kicked him out because they were scared to interact with him. I knew then that I had been wrong about the way I look at people in the scene, sex workers, and just other Black gay men in general.

oh, yeah. One thing about these docs is that they don't really cover the more masculine or masculine leaning types and some of the realness categories. I found out about those afterwards.

my level of education and acceptance of trans and ballroom ppl has grown immensely not that they needed my acceptance.. it feels good to know that most of us are striving towards the betterment of our community
