Someone actually looked at the ratings and saw why the dipped:

Lets start with ratings, the first season that RHOA saw a loss in viewership was was after Porsha's first physical altercation in season 6. The show lost over 600,000 viewers the following season. This was first time the show ever saw a loss in ratings since the very small 10,000k dip between season 3 and 4. Since season 6 the show has never seen an increase in ratings again.

After the ratings began to drop due to the violence and people being turned off, the biggest ratings drop were 500,000 viewers when Nene left after season 12, 400,000 viewers after Phaedra left (when her and Porsha lied about rape), and over 300,000 viewers after season 13 when Porsha decided to screw Bravo over for Simon and tried to force them to turn her two-episode family activism/BLM special into a spinoff (instead of a spinoff they extended the special into one-time limited edition mini series - source).

Overall Porsha has contributed to over 900,000 (almost a million) in lossed viewership. So, if you guys want to be hellbent on blaming a single person for RHOA, its state and its ratings, here you go.

The smallest loss in ratings rhoa ever saw since the ratings first began falling was only 170,000 viewers and that was in season 12 when Kenya returned after having Brooklyn.

Regarding Nene, the first time she left (the year Kim Fields joined) the show loss over 200,000 viewers. Combined with her second departure, Nene's departures has resulted in a loss of over 700,000 viewers. She has returned several times yet the rating have never increased or stayed the same.
