This is why I wish either a) Aretha had committed to the biopic she had started auditions for yeaaars ago or b) They didn't start this so soon after her death.

If we go biopic A the music would have SLAYED, this was when Karen, Miki Howard and others were supposed to be a part of it, Kierra and Fanny auditioned too.

I thought the same thing. The one scene where she asked the guy playing Jerry Wexler to call her Miss Franklin gave me hope. It's definitely shot in a similar way to Dreamgirls and Ray. There's quite a bit of Oscar buzz around this already too. We shall see.
