Welcome to ?playlist payola,? the modern-day equivalent to old school payoffs of radio station deejays.  And just like the old days, there are specific prices for spins.  Peoples cited a source stating ?$2,000 for a playlist with tens of thousands of fans,? up to to ?$10,000 for the more well-followed playlists?.

it's unrealistic to think Atlantic has the money to spend on multiple Cardi tracks occupying multiple top positions  across multiple music streaming services for THIS long.

Someone like Nicki, whose label buys tops spots which only last a couple of days then falls because she doesn't have the fanbase or hype to help her STAY there.

Atlantic is owned by Warner and it's LITERALLY the CEO of Warner who's spilling the tea in the article I posted  Atlantic/Warner is a company with millions of dollars (and in Warner's case, a billion dollar company) and she's currently their biggest artist, so it's not surprising that they're continuously milking out coins to keep her at the top of all these Spotify/Apple Music playlists.
