:ohwow:
I hope its good. Didn't like the last song she put out.
Teyana also wrapped her album. Give it zørls
Toxic is a vibe. I'm ready :blessed:
LOVE how she consistently puts out music
YES queen :blessed:

Yeah I haven't liked any of the mixtapes besides the very first one tbh.
SSS was really good though.

yea it was just okay to me. that's how I've felt about most of her last few singles
I did like the Keyshia & Zedd ones tho.
I haven't like the past 4-5 songs she's released but I loved SSS so hopefully this is good
This cover is cute
her song with musiqsoulchild WOOO
I really like this girl but everything she's put out since the mixtape has sounded amature and lazy af. SSS was actually really good, so I'm hoping this album doesn't include any of the recent songs she's released (Toxic, You Know Wassup, etc.) and has some songs with actual structure and good production. Hoping she worked a lot with Pop and Oak b/c they laced her up on that first album.
Welp!
I guess I have sit thru a Jhene Abore mess, huh?
I'm excited, otherwise
Nah I'll pass
Im already bored.
Only gonna listen to the Jhené mess
I really did like All Me
this James Blake feature :gorlonfire:
Listening now.
Umm. Where do u see Megan
Oh
n
This is nice. I like the beats *in Shree voice*
Nothing is standing out as of yet.
The production is at an all time high on this like every song!!!
Can you blame me and change your life :flamebroiled:
I swear all these girls keep making the same album over and over. I feel like I've heard all of this before.
I'm so ready for B7.

Yeah. Hopefully B7 will move the needle a bit and make these girls try a little harder. Bc this honestly sounds interchangeable with the Jhene or Summer album to me.
Nothing offensive but it's all just so damn boring :dead:

!!! Just samey and uninspired. Like literally 3 or 4 of these songs sound the same. I don't get the hype of these new r&b girls tbh.

It just feels lazy. Like I'm offended at the lack of effort. You can tell they just go in the studio, smoke a blunt, and write a 2:30 song that will stream well. If you're not gonna put the effort to create a solid body of work then just release a bunch of one off singles.

Change your life was nice, but I feel Jhene added nothing to the song.
The previous songs released before the album dropped and Grieving were the standouts so far. Gonna sit with this.
My close friend is a Stan and says there are like zero uptempos on this record and she's super deep in her feelings. Mixed reviews so far but it's so early :dead:
Ima listen for myself. I can tell it's nothing like the amazing EP she dropped over a year ago

Also not clicking play on album with 0 uptempos.
Listening now.
Can I is hot. Tory is killing these features.
Bad News is a snooze fest.
I don't like the Jhené feature, she sounds so bored.
I wish she had done more with the Masego song. It doesn't really go anywhere.
I wish serial lover was longer n she really played with adlibs... Won't lie the some songs just seem lazy/ unfinished ...it's like she was shooting for chill vibe rnb album a la summer debut.. but the production n lyrics n melodies carry this album so I can actually appreciate it.
Change your life, can you blame me, toxic, grieving, can I, hate the club, water, & bad news all have replay value and that's basically the whole album so I like it ...not a great album but not bad at all. Definitely her least best from the last 2 projects (album & EP).
Any messes like Keep On or Disrtraction
:guys:

she intentionally made a wack album? wow
It's too vibey and abstract. I don't use for Kehlani for that sound.
Love Toxic. F&MU, Bad News and Can U Blame Me are good bit it's a step down from SSS.

I think she was going for the minimalist thing, sorta like an Urban James Blake.
Which is cool for girls like Kelela and Jhené who can arrange the hell out of a song, I love Lani's voice but she's not THAT girl so a lot of these songs just sound empty or boring.
BUT BABBBAAAY JAMES BLAKE VERSE ON "GRIEVING" :melmel:
He DID THAt!
QuoteKehlani's obvious talent shines through on moments like this. Her new brooding sound frustratingly swamps the vivaciousness that fans loved on previous releases, as well as distracting from searing lyrics. 'Serial Lover', which sees Kehlani sing unashamedly about past relationships ("I got bodies I'm going to take to the grave / I've got girls I want to give my last name / No regrets, Don't got no shame") is the perfect middle-ground, combining the dark new production with a lithe Destiny's Child-tinted flute riff and strutting beats.
It's understandable for an artist to want to change their sound, but the problem with 'It Was Good Until It Wasn't' is that it loses sight of the sheer brilliance Kehlani has demonstrated on previous releases. The dark and sexy new songs shine their brightest when coated with a layer of her previous sparkle; which makes the artist's second album a fine but frustrating release.

Can she give "real r&b" with some structure and songs with a damn bridge? :dead:
Her first album was so good. She could use that template and evolve it with these new beats, so it's harder and less poppy.
All these excuses for laziness. Maybe she needs someone like Lawshawn (rip) or a really involved producer to push her and bring that out of her. I'm wondering if pop/oak did that for her on the first album. Left to her own devices everything just sounds like a mixtape.
I'm not really that into her, but I like that voice doesn't necessarily sound like the rest of the sad girls. I use a good handful of these songs a lil bit.

That's her saving grace, is her voice and tone. But she still needs someone to teach her how to use it. Sometimes I feel like she's yelling.
I liked her last album (or was it an ep?) more. But its cute .
I like Kehlani
I don't like this.
