First of all, why did she have to lip everything except for "Baby" and maybe "Almost doesnt count"? Also she could've at least acknowleged TBIM, HYE and some more of her big hits instead of just skipping them altogether (playing the TBIM intro doesnt count).
The highlight for me was ADC and TOTW.
On top of that the outfits were indeed not amazing, especially in combination with those shoes!

It was a great moment. There's really no need for me to critique anything. Everything was how it was meant to be.
As far as choreography, ma y of her hits are from the 90s and are the soundtrack to that decade and many people's adolescence, so it has to be true to that time period. I feel that we may be asking too much with different or "better" choreography, which may end up coming across inauthentic to the time. These are iconic records we are talking about.
And if that newspaper had anything to do with the lawsuit, I'm interested in hearing her "real songs" as she has put it. Didn't someone say there would be an announcement about the lawsuit this month?

It was a fun performance. She's improved as performer.
Yeah, it was fun to think she was shading Monica but it's clear she was shading the fans...on both sides.
Brandy and Monica have had great careers and longevity that not many can say they've had. Monica is still able to recognize how legendary Brandy's voice and career are.
Everytime Brandy shades someone, most assume it's Monica. Like when she was shading Shaye and Keisha until she finally had to star saying #noShayde for people to realize.
Brandy is the happiest and most secure that she has been her entire career...at least it seems that way. No matter the sales of this next album, she's going to lash the way she wants and isn't going to give too many fucks about what people want her to do. She's clearly over that.

After SS Bran praised Mo, and before that even offered to do another song. Mo said NO! Then proceeded to pull Bran in to do a song but only after HER album wasn't gaining buzz. Queen pushed her own shit back to be a good colleague, and agreed to do a song of Mo's choice. Like... :uhh:

I only watched the performance once, so I didn't hear the Monica song titles. But I'll always err on the side of having Brandy's back.
Some of the radio stations are reporting on it and saying that it has to be deeper than who is Whitney's goddaughter because they have been going back and forth for most of the year. So some people realize that it's probably a little coming from both sides.
I feel that Brandy should just stop talking or completely air Monica out, though. Preferably the latter... I wonder what could be so horrible, in Brandy's mind, that she's keeping it such a secret, even though it clearly bothers her immensely.

Maybe you don't understand what being a Legend means. At that point it's no longer about sales, or relevency. You are who you are. Beyonce legacy on paper very well could slay Tina Turners, but that doesn't take anything away from them both being legends.
It's not about Brandy slaying one girls legacy. It's about that girl not having much of a legacy for herself. Brandy shared the stage with Whitney, she's had moments with Mariah. Diana, Gladys, Chaka all speak greatly of her. Brandy has respect from legends and the industry is now viewing her as one.
