i don't believe gay men are required to have traditional weddings and mess.

the "lifestyle" is out of the box so why shouldn't the wedding/ceremony be as well

but if they'd like that its fine. he's definitely on one knee proposing to the man he loves. thats his chosen way of expressing his love and desire for commitment to their relationship and i won't knock that.

ultimately they're two people in love.

but i believe marriage is most important when it comes down to paperwork - it protects your rights as a couple. if one is injured and unable to speak for himself in the hospital , his SPOUSE wont have to worry about staff (or even the mans own family) coming between him doing what he has to do for him, etc.

definitely is a point of marriage that is important not only to heterosexuals. way of proposing/getting  married is trivial and a mere footnote below the legal/financial  importance and benefits.
