great news...things seem to be moving' forwards on her side but i mean release the single already, Bran...
A lot goes into releasing a lead single, at least if u do it the right way. The label has to hire a director to do the video treatment. The Urban department of the label has to create a satisfactory radio and digital campaign to promote the release of the single. Art work. Her mgmt and publicist has to negotiate promo air time for radio and television interviews and performances. Venues need to be booked for a tie in tour. Spotify, iTunes and Apple Music need to guarantee visibility for the single.
A lot of fans think Brandy can just drop a song and it automatically charts. The planning and prework for a successful single is tedious and expensive. Especially when the artist hasn't been out in a while. If the first single fails, that comes out of the album's budget and reduces the chances of multiple follow up singles.
We just gotta be patient. It's coming. Very soon.
i have an idea of how it works..but thanks... :-)
ol' girl still have had a whole lotta time to drop her track... and we're tired of waitin'...every other artist drop songs left and right and albums too..it's not like it's impossible but when it comes to our girl it always takes centuries to finally give up on the project after the 2nd single...
so much for preparation and promo... lol just sayin'..
she might as well release
at this point, promo or not, people just want her music, if it's really good the work might speak for itself and catch attention...
oh and promo is not the only key... to me it's the single choice 1st... if ur single sucks compared to the other songs of ur album people won't be interested in ur projet even with good promo..
so yeah that single better a great representation of the body of work she took 6+ years to deliver...
