for context.... armon is a semi-popular black gay youtuber reporting on Lil Nas...
the style he's rocking on the NYT mag cover is nothing like buckwheat
if anything i'd compare it stuff that the THE WKND does
i just saw someone in Lenox Square mall on Saturday rocking something similar and the first thing I thought was "The Wknd". not buckwheat
like....where does Buckwheat come into this? :uhh: sdsdd
im side eyeing the fuck outta armon for that reference
then he goes on to ask why nas has to "dress like a woman"
without for once even considering that lil nas x could actually be enjoying what he's doing and wearing :uhh:
so many things going on here.

Ironically Kwee make a lotta unambiguous feminine gay black men uncomfortable
ion get it, I'm sure there's a deeper issue
Oh this is the same fag that said OG from Basketball Wives looked like a monkey

Not all skinfolk..
its embarrassing and honestly makes me a lil sad
i try to understand where EVERYONE is coming from.
if someone wants to wear a dress outside, hey not my thing but do ur thing gorl
if someone says "man i wish there was more masculine gay representation so i can see myself" i understand them.
and i understand that because there's a difference between "i wanna see more of me" and "ugh this disgusting fem buckwheat lookin fag...what he doin?"
this is a mess. and those people in his chat box kii'ing and cackling as he posts pics of buckwhet on the screen
hope he felt better about himself and his standing in society as a black gay man after this broadcast.
Ultimately I don't get why black gay men slight the more fem and/or flamboyant gay black artists in favour for more masculine representation in the music industry
Who would be their core audience? Masc black gay men who probably wouldn't want to "out" themselves by openly supporting another gay black male artists?
I don't see how it would work IMO
Is there even an audience for it?

there's a lot of masculine gay black men who are openly gay though
i know a few of them right here in ATL.
but there's just a bigger market for a more fem act. so much more u can do ...
with imagery, etc.
it's the reason why a lot of gay men stan for female artists.
we actually love the BEAUTY, the DRAMA. lol the DIVAness.
that's kinda what nas is giving. all the same dramatics and antics that a lot of female artists we love give to us.
sdffdssssfsdfsdfs
and even some hetero male artists these days. rocking skirts on their album covers, etc.
wonder if armon made a vidya calling out young thug for his mess.

jealousy and indifference
Which is understandable
Being black gay and fem isn't something that's exactly celebrated in society, so seeing someone succeed being all those 3 things would probably be hard for people to see when te very same thing is used to belittle their existence and experience in this thing called life
Lil nas has folk on all cylinders STEAMING
